Diverse Experiences in Leading Banking Institutions Worldwide
· Director, President & CEO of China Development Financial Holding Corporation since Nov., 2020; Director of KGI Life Insurance Co., Ltd. since Jan., 2021. and is committed to the development of the ABCDE strategy in the group.
· Prior to CDF, Steve was the CEO of Al Rajhi Bank in Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest Islamic bank, in terms of assets and profitability.
· Steve was with Standard Chartered Bank from 2008 to 2014, directly overseeing Global Consumer Banking as CEO and Group Executive Director and a member of the Board. He was responsible for Retail Banking, Wealth Management, SME and Private Banking with operations across 44 countries.
· He was the executive global sponsor for employee volunteering for Standard Chartered from 2010-2013, and became the executive sponsor for diversity and inclusion for 89,000 staff and 127 nationalities.
22 Years with General Electric and M&A Deals Experience in Asia-Pacific
· Steve spent 22 years with GE, most recently as Chairman and CEO of GE North East Asia and became a GE officer in 2006.
· He was also responsible for GE’s acquisition and merger business in the Asia-Pacific region from 2004 and President of GE Capital Asia from 2001 to 2008.
